Grappling with Gender and Identity in Singapore

25 September @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm SMT

Free

Being a woman is tough. Being an Indian woman is even tougher. Their bodies, minds, and personalities are subject to constant scrutiny. Our panellists shed light on the misperceptions and diverse experiences of South Asian women in Singapore, and how we can move towards greater empathy.

Panellists:
Sindhura Kalidas (playwright and co-director of upcoming play Happy Indian Women)
Haresh Sharma (Cultural Medallion recipient, and co-director of Happy Indian Women)

Jean Low (CEO of 1880, and advisor to AWARE)

Moderated by Sharanjit Leyl.
