Love Notes: An Original 4-ACT Musical Cabaret!

By December 26, 2018 No Comments
A Special Fundraising event

Love Notes is written and performed by young people aged 6-20 years. Set in a bizarre circus struggling to keep alive, each scene is a metaphorical exploration of love inspired by personal experiences, thinking outside the lines and sheer imagination.

Guest Artist Margie Gillis, internationally acclaimed modern dancer, will perform a solo dance piece to launch this exciting Fundraising event and Canadian High Commissioner to Singapore Lynn McDonald will be in attendance.

About SG Creations
written by the young people on the Board

SG Creations is a free creative platform where young people (6 – 20 years of age) express our concerns, challenges, and hopes in a non-judgmental environment. We believe we can affect change by learning from and understanding one another in a non-academic space – no grades, no auditions, and no division by age, gender, race, economic status, or talent – diversity is key to our process! We encourage healthy debate and ‘thinking’ outside the lines. We are figuring out where we stand on an issue with each new project, developing our emotional intelligence, compassion, and empathy.

Why your financial help is needed in this fundraiser to reach hundreds more young people:
We live in a world of price tags. If something is expensive, we tend to believe it has value. We think that creative expression is a fundamental right and it is priceless. If we are to evolve as a society, we need to focus on creativity without charge, segregation, or status. SG Creations is free so that all young people can participate regardless of their socio-economic situation.

$200 (includes a 3-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Colin Buchan, a welcome Prosecco & light bites)
