Established laws are rarely enforced in the developing world; criminals continue to rape, enslave, traffic, and abuse the poor without fear. Vulnerable widows and orphans are chased from their homes from society’s strong and powerful. How can we bring about change on a scale that the world has never seen before? How can we put violence and slavery out of business?
Philip Langford is the Vice-President for International Advancement at International Justice Mission and has led programmes in Southeast Asia, Africa, and South Asia to strengthen justice systems in protecting the poor from slavery, human trafficking, gender-based violence, and police abuse of power.
