Screening: Hongbaos & Kisses

By January 7, 2019 No Comments
This is your Chinese New Year survival guide. For anyone who has an aversion to crowds or who suffers from festive fatigue, conspire with the characters in this film on how to make the best out of the season.

Ping (Felicia Chin) is a rebellious university student in a Chinese business family. She plans to elope with her older French boyfriend, but her grandmother will only give her the funds she needs in a hongbao this Chinese New Year, if she brings home a Chinese boyfriend. So she teams up with Xavier (Joshua Tan), her mother’s personal trainer to pretend they are a couple. As lunar luck would have it, they really start falling for each other.

Runtime: 80 minutes
