Screening: Unteachable

By March 3, 2020 No Comments
What has Singapore’s exam-obsessive education setting done to the joy of learning? Shot over a 4-year school period capturing the lives of so-called academically-weak students in the Normal Technical stream, the film gives a rare insight into the lives of these teenagers, their fears of past failures, dreams for the future, and awareness of the place in their society. Directed by Singaporean filmmaker Yong Shuling.

Stay for a Q&A with the film’s editor, Mirabelle Ang.

The screening will start promptly at 7.30pm. Purchase your food and drinks from 7pm.

$15++
