“We cannot unsee what we’ve seen.” remarked filmmaker, Vibha Bakshi, as she processed the chaos in Kamathipura, a red-light district in Mumbai notorious for sex trafficking.
“We have to do something.”

Son Rise
, a multi award winning film inspires us to take action. While exposing the darkest corners of gender violence in rural North India, a strongly patriarchal society, the filmmaker finds ordinary men doing the ‘extraordinary’ in the struggle for women’s rights and gender justice.

Laura Entwistle, Founder of Emancipaction & Lydia Bowden, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Singapore, International Justice Mission will be in attendance.

No need to queue for popcorn, it will be served. Purchase your drinks and snacks before 7.15pm.

$50 with the full amount going to Emancipaction as a donation.
