What do you do for a living?

I founded vLookUp, a digital mentoring platform, with the aim of breaking access barriers to leaders and mentors for women across countries and organisations. I’m also a corporate leader and visual artist.

What have you been up to lately?

I have been creating new artworks for a few upcoming group exhibitions as well as working on expanding vLookUp across educational institutions, countries, and organisations. I am also planning a few exciting events for vLookUp like Speed Mentoring at 1880 and planning my next mountain excursion in the Himalayas.

What do you spend a silly amount of time on?

If I am not working on my three careers, I am doing yoga, listening to audio books, nagging with my two kids, hiking in mountains, and drinking wine with my husband.

What are you currently reading / listening to / watching?

I am listening to the book ‘The Buried Giant’ by Kazuo Ishiguro. This is my 4th book by him in the last 2 months. I usually read 5-6 books by the same author as I like to be in their world for a while.

Best advice you’ve received?

“Don’t wish for it! Work for it!.” This is my motto in life in everything I do.

How should someone say hi to you at 1880?

Hi Kanchana! How about a coffee together? I love good coffee and conversations.
